Call for Abstracts
The 71st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy encourages the doctors from various countries to submit papers on clinical studies and basic research in the International Session (oral/poster presentations). The oral presentation is 10 min. including questions and answers.
The poster presentation is 5 min. including questions and answers in front of your poster and chairperson.
Presentations at the Annual Meeting must be given only in English by the first author himself/herself. Do not use translators.
Call for abstracts (English Oral/Poster Session)
Those who wish to submit an abstract for English oral/poster session must prepare the abstract following the instruction below and submit it from web form.
Abstract Submission Deadline: January 30 (Fri.), 2026
- Please submit your abstract from web form.
- In each abstract, please include the following:
- Abstract title
- Author’s name
- Institution
- Corresponding Author’s Contact information (Name, E-mail, Institution, Postal address, Postcode, Phone number)
- Abstract body
- The abstract body must be 250 words or less. Your application will not be accepted if the abstract body exceeds 250 words. The abstract body should consist of “Background”, “Method”, “Result”, “Discussion” and “Conclusion”.
- Please state whether there is a conflict of interest (COI).
If none: State: “There are no companies or entities with which the presenters have a COI relationship that should be disclosed in relation to the content of this presentation.”
If present: State the company name(s) and the nature of the COI relationship (research funding, lecture fees, manuscript fees, etc.) that should be disclosed in relation to the content of this presentation. - Please indicate whether AI was used in the content of your study and presentation.
If not: Please state “AI was not used in this research and presentation.”
If yes: Please describe which parts of your research and presentation utilized AI and how it was used.
Appendix
- We recommend signing up for the travel insurance including COVID-19 infection before visiting Japan.
- Residents of most countries, with the exception of certain nations, require a visa issued by the Japanese government to enter Japan. There are two methods for obtaining a visa for speakers whose presentations have been accepted. One option is to apply for a visa in your home country using the same method as tourists from your country to Japan. The second method is to request assistance from the congress secretariart. If you choose this second option, it will need a fee of 18,150 yen per person.
This visa covers a maximum stay of up to six days, from Wednesday, 17 June 2026 to Monday, 22 June 2026. - Authors who require an invitation letter to present their institutions to attend the congress can request to the secretary office.
- Please note that accommodations should be paid and arranged by the applicants themselves.
Applications for Travel Grants
This year the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy has decided to give travel grants to attend the Annual Meeting to the first authors of the 20 best rated abstracts in the international session. The amount of travel grants will differ according to the World Bank Criteria. Recipients from lower-middle-income or low-income countries will receive a travel grant of 100,000 yen. Recipients from upper-middle-income countries far from Japan will receive 70,000 yen. Recipients from upper-middle-income countries near Japan or high-income countries will receive 50,000 yen. All recipients regardless of the amount of travel grants will receive a complimentary registration to attend the 71st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy in 2026.
This travel grant is not applied to international nationals residing in Japan and Japanese nationals.
The recipient of the grant is asked to bring the following two items to receive the grant to the secretariat:
- A certificate which will be given after the presentation
- Passport
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants from upper-middle-income countries or high-income countries must be 40 years old or younger as of May 30, 2026. There are no age requirements for applicants from lower-middle income countries or low-income countries.
- A travel grant will be awarded solely to the first author of the 20 selected abstracts. Even if more than one abstract for the same author are accepted, the travel grant will be provided only for one abstract per one author.
- Young overseas doctors/researchers, who live outside of Japan, without Japanese nationality. (Japanese nationals residing abroad are not eligible for this grant.)
