Call for Abstracts
The International Session
For the international sessions, the Platform Presentations and Poster Presentations are available and the official language in these sessions is English. All the abstracts submitted for the international sessions will be nominated for Young Investigator Award.
Submission Period
September 3rd and October 15th, 2025 (JST)
Invited speakers shall be individually requested to submit the abstract and CV.
General Instruction for Submission
- Affiliation is addressed as follows: Institution, city/state/province & country name.
(ex.) Department of Pediatrics, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada - Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee and the Executive Committee of the Congress to determine acceptance. Acceptance or rejection will be announced to the applicants via e-mail by the end of February, 2026.
- All abstracts must not conflict with the Ethical Codes of the Japanese Society of Child Neurology to protect privacy of patients. For all studies dealing with experimental work involving human subjects, specify that informed consent was obtained following a full explanation of the procedure(s) undertaken. Patients should be referred to by number; do not use real names, initials or hospital numbers.
Also, the design of special scientific research (e.g. genetic research and regenerative medicine) should be approved by the ethical committee of the institution, and the approval status should be clearly stated in the abstract. The institutional approval may not be required for genetic testing primarily for a diagnostic purpose. When submitting abstracts, please be along with the ethical rules regarding personal information related to patients. If you use videos or photo images of patients, please be sure to pay careful attention to ethical codes and to obtain permission from the patient(s) (or, when applicable, the next of kin). - Duplicate reports are not accepted in the 68th Annual Meeting of JSCN. All abstracts strictly adhere to this policy. The contents of the abstract must not have been presented at any previous conference or event. However, it does not apply to
- the presentations by a special request in the meeting (e.g. special lectures, symposia, workshops, seminars),
- reports in different languages,
- reports of already published contents, or
- reports presented at research group meetings.
When your abstract may have a possibility of duplicate presentation, you should inform the Secretariat of the 68th Annual Meeting of JSCN regarding the possibility of duplicate presentation with clear indication of the name and date of the corresponding meeting, the title of the previous presentation, and reasons of the second report.
- Any corrections to be made to your abstract will be your own responsibility.
Conflicts of Interest of the author
Conflicts of interest (COI) of the speaker(s) must be clearly indicated and the necessary information must be disclosed as specified. The first speaker and co-speakers are required to disclose COI, if any, for the entire research period, which refers to salaries through such as dual employment, lecture fees, manuscript fees, research expenses, scholarship donations, provision of personnel, affiliation with endowed courses, and others from commercial companies or organizations.
Please note that the disclosure of the conflict of interest of co-speakers is also required.
Submission Procedure

Abstract Modification
The online Abstract Submission System does not allow abstract submission using browsers other than Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. Please do not use any other browsers. The latest version of each browser is assumed to be used.
Format
- The title of the abstract should be less than 120 characters in single-byte, including spaces.
- The text of the abstract should be less than 1,500 characters in single-byte.
- The maximum number of co-speakers is 14, and the maximum number of institutional affiliations is 10.
- The abstract should clearly and specifically describe the intent of the presentation in the order of purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Be sure to list the full name of the institutional affiliation, your specialty, and your department.
- All similar departments should be listed using the same name; for example, "Department of Pediatric Science" and "Pediatric Course" should be listed as "Department of Pediatrics."
- For numbers, Arabic numbers (1, 2, 3) should be used. For years, the western calendar year should be used.
- The entire text in the English language should be in lower-case letters except for proper nouns and the first letter of the first word in a sentence. Names of persons, pharmaceuticals, and places should be in their original language.
- Confirmation of submission will be sent via e-mail to your address. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail within 30 min of submitting the abstract, please contact us at childneuro2026@convention.co.jp
