16th World Congress on Investment Casting (WCIC2025)

Call for Papers

We expect this conference to be an attractive and informative program with a mixture of presentations from foundries, suppliers, and academics from across the world.

To be considered for WCIC’s Technical Conference, papers should adhere to the following criteria:

  1. The paper must be technical in nature and not a sales pitch.
    (Commercialism of any kind will not be accepted).
  2. The paper should represent a collaboration with or data from a foundry where the topic of discussion has been applied.
  3. Co-present with or reference to a foundry by name in your paper and presentation is required.

Papers related to the topics, such as Casting Solution, Advanced Materials, Digital Transformation (DX), and Green Foundry, shown in the figure on next page are preferable. Of greatest interest are technologies and methods that will have an immediate impact on a foundry operation or that will make casting manufacturers more competitive. JFS Inc. also seeks papers from suppliers for the “How It’s Made” category. Foundry collaboration on “How It’s Made” presentations are not required.

All papers should be prepared and presented in English. Fill out the Presentation Application Form including abstract as below, and submit to JFS (wcic2025@foundry.jp) by November 1, 2024.

Conditions

The content of all abstracts will be refereed by the Technical Conference Committee, who reserve the right to reject a paper that does not meet its evaluation criteria. The inclusion of a paper in the final program will also be dependent upon:
i. the submission of the abstract and final presentation in requested format (*.pptx) by the official deadlines
ii. the receipt of the License to Publish Agreement by the deadline.
iii. the presenting author completing his/her delegate Conference registration and payment by fixed deadline.
