Call for Abstracts

The Scientific Program Committee of IDF-WPR Congress 2023 and 15th Scientific Meeting of AASD invites all interested participants to submit abstracts for the oral or poster presentations.
Abstracts will be selected and notified by the screening of Scientific Program Committee. All accepted abstracts will be published as a supplemental issue of the Journal of Diabetes Investigation, the AASD official journal.

Although authors are encouraged to submit work that are not published, the Congress will accept abstracts that have been published elsewhere as long as they contain one or two new results that are not included previously. In addition, the Congress will consider abstracts that have been presented in recent months at local or international diabetes meetings.

Each presenter of accepted abstract is required to register and pay the set registration fee either at the Congress or at the 10th JADEC Annual Scientific Meeting. The abstract will be withdrawn in case no presentation is delivered during oral or poster session.

All abstracts must be submitted through the online abstract submission system. The abstract submitted by post, fax or e-mail is not acceptable.

Please carefully review the following submission guidelines prior to submitting an abstract online.

How to Access online abstract submission system

1. All abstracts can only be submitted online via this official congress website.
   (Abstracts submitted by post, fax or e-mail will not be accepted.)
2. Abstract should be written in English.
3. If you are submitting an abstract for the first time, please register your personal information and set up your account.
   Complete your account setting via registration URL on the automatic delivery mail. Go on register your abstract from online abstract submission system. Please make sure to keep your password, log-in ID (e-mail address) and your abstract receipt number. We cannot provide new passwords or ID in any circumstances.
4. In principle, the first author must be a corresponding author. If the co-author is the point of contact, please provide the person’s name, email address and the abstract receipt number to Abstract Handling Desk below.

Automatic delivery mail or Acceptance/Rejection mail will be sent to the registered e-mail address.

Please set your E-mail system to receive e-mail from “lacool-send-only@convention.co.jp” and “program-idfwpr-aasd2023@convention.co.jp”.

Please do not use free mail (gmail, hotmail, etc.) if it is possible.
There are many cases unable to receive Acceptance/Rejection e-mail and automatic delivery e-mail with the URL to register ID and Password, when using free e-mail account.

How to Register Abstract

After the account is created, proceed to submitting abstract. Fill out carefully all the required fields of the electronic abstract submission form within 2 hours.

1. Character limitation
   Title: 120 characters. (Including spaces)
   Abstract Body for Abstract book: within 250 words.

   Do not include your affiliation, Main author, Co-author in Abstract Body.

   You are not able to proceed next step if you do not input required topics.

2. The text should be arranged according to the following headlines: Objective, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
3. Category
   Choose Category from the list in the online abstract submission system.

   Category

4. Only one table or image is allowed (included in characters count). The file size may not exceed 2MB.
5. Your abstract will be automatically edited according to the IDF-WPR Congress 2023 and 15th Scientific Meeting of AASD submission format, when you submit your abstract online.
   It is the responsibility of the presenting author and the submitter to review submissions their own submitted abstract and to correct them if necessary. Submitters are responsible for any typing error in the abstract.
