Purpose Robotic surgery, which is also emerging in the hepatobiliary and pancreatic fields, requires surgical manipulation similar to the microsurgery. Microsurgery is also essential in some small animal models in basic research. This seminar was organized by the Japanese Society of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery and the ISEM Japan Chapter with the aim of providing basic and clinical knowledge and skills through experimental microsurgery.
Content ① Lecture on the basics of microsurgery, introduction of rat/mouse transplant models, etc. (40 minutes)
② Hands-on seminar on 9-0 nodal anastomosis of a 2mm artificial blood vessel (40 minutes per person)
