Greetings to the participants of Fifth Triangle Symposium of the Japan-Hungary-Poland-Surgical Society

28 years have already passed from 1996 when together with Professor Kitajima we were shaking hands and founded the Japan-Hungary Surgical Society. From 2001 we have organized biannual common scientific symposia alternatively in Budapest and Tokyo. It was a pleasure, a great step forward when in 2014 the Japanese-Polish Surgical Society united to our association, we became a tripartitite society. From that time we organise Triangle Symposia. alternatively in the three countries.

We follow the original rules: „ The purpose of the common society is to encourage the progress of medical science, to contribute to the welfare of people oh three countries. This is realized by promoting scientific exchange among Japan, Hungary and Poland concerning surgery and cementing friendly relationship among physicians of these countries.”

We continue the structure of previous scientific meetings: lectures – as postgraduate courses by professors, chief surgeons of international reputation – and our symposia are widely addressed to talented young surgeons, residents, researhers of three countries: they have opportunity to present their studies.

Our last live Triangle Symposium was organized in Budapest in 2018.

Professor Kitajima had already started to organize our fifth the next common meeting, planned to Yokohama for 2020 with this slogan: „Triangle Intergation of Art and Sience of Surgery for Humanity” – but he passed away in 2019,

We have lost a surgeon, scholar a poineer scientist - and first of all - an unforgettable friend.

We have to say many thanks to the President of present symposium : Masashi Yoshida, secretary Norihito Wada, organizer Kyoko Okuda for restarting the tripartite cooperation of our countries.

It will be Wonderful to meet again the leaders of Polish Section: Gzeregorz Wallner, Wojcich Kielan and our collegaues from Japan, Poland and Hungary.

Yes, I agree with the slogan:„ Fresh Start!! Tight Knit”

I have asked Professor Attila Szijártó to tage over the charge of President – and Dr. Gergely Huszty: Secretary of Hungarian Section.

I am convinced they will continue successfully their work for the Triangle Society. In the backround I am ready to help the common society in the future as well.
